The lamp uses a motorised system triggered by the timer. It rotates 90 degrees and simultaneously, the upper magnetic contacts are exposed, allowing the user to slide the panel up into place and begin their period of focus. When the timer finishes, the upper panels falls, bringing the user back into the room.

The wool felt panels absorb sound for a more relaxing and distraction-free work environment. The top panel moves using discreet rails only visible from the back. These are dampened so that the top panel lowers in control when the embedded magnet is released.
